The Remus

The Remus is a versatile piece of equipment designed for use by the rider during flatwork schooling sessions or as a lunging aid.

It is a progressive training aid to enable the rider to maintain a steady contact with a horse that tends to pull, lean or snatch on the rider's hands. The Remus encourages flexion and self- carriage.
Also of use on the lunge with or without a rider the Remus can be used to develop balance, self carriage and lightness.

Because The Remus helps a horse develop lightness and obedience to the hand it is invaluable when settling horses for fittening work during interval training.

The Remus attaches to the saddle or the Lunging roller and to the horse's bit rings. It features a pulley system which allows flexion and prevents the horse becoming 'fixed' in its mouth. A pad prevents the pulley from causing pressure on the horse's wither or it catching in the horse's mane.
