The PeeWee bit is constructed with stainless steel rings and side bars and a "sweet iron" mouth bar which is INTENDED TO RUST. This rusting effect is what creates extra saliva in the horses mouth to prevent the mouth drying out which is a problem with 100% stainless steel bits

Advantages

No gadgets or gimmicks on the bit.

Totally natural and simple which makes it unsurpassed in comfort and communication

- Provides maximum response with minimum pressure and yet horses love having this bit in their mouth because it is so comfortable due to it being lightweight , the perfect shape for the mouth and sits in the correct position in the mouth

- Assists in re-educating horses with mouthing issues as the feel ,signals and position are all totally new to the horse and so the horse will not associate previous bad experiences with these new experiences

- Great for horses with big fleshy tongues and low palates as the thin mouth bar leaves plenty of room in the mouth which provides extra comfort.

- Save your horse from frustrating mouthing issues

provides faster education of young horses due to a precise clear signal which minimizes confusion and combined with the level of comfort , young horses accept the bit much quicker and as a result you eliminate traditional problems such as head tossing, mouth opening and resisting/laying on the bit-- a must for horse trainers starting young horses.

- Prevents your horse getting its tongue over the bit

The bit sits squarely down over the bars of the lower jaw which encourages the horse to flex at the pole and come down over the bit rather than behind the bit so your horse is in a more natural position to work

Pee Wee Bit
The most comfortable and responsive bit you can put in your horses mouth

The amazing new performance bit.
Recommended as a training bit for starting young horses, trail riding or to performing at the highest level -
the Pee Wee gets the job done

Correct fitting procedures

All Purpose position
recommended for all riding disciplines

This photo clearly shows the correct position to attach the bridle cheek straps-- the reins then attach to the Large Rings behind the bridle cheek straps. Note how the large ring lays down over the side bar.
This photo clearly shows the Pee Wee bit set in the All Purpose position with the Large Rings turned Down . This is the correct position for all riding disciplines. .
Note the position of the side bar and how it points back to the riders legs. As the mouth bar is aligned with the side bars it gives you a good indication of the position the mouth bar is sitting in the horses mouth. It is also important to note that there are
NO WRINCKLES/CREASES in the corner of the horses mouth. The mouth bar should be only making passive contact when the cheek straps have been set at the correct length.

Ensure you can place a couple of fingers between the chin strap and the horse's chin. This strap is NOT a curb strap and only acts as security in keeping the bit in place and therefore should not put any pressure on the chin.

The below photos clearly show the Pee Wee bit set up in the
INCORRECT position.

Note how the large rings are turned up and away from the side bars

Q. Why should I buy a Pee Wee bit ?

A. Because, not only does the Pee wee bit give amazing control requiring only light hands, it is extremely comfortable for your horse

Q. How do I get amazing control from the Pee Wee while at the same time it is so comfortable for my horse ?

A. The Pee wee bit is unique in design. The mouth bar of the bit sits squarely down over the tongue and onto the bars of the mouth, which automatically encourages your horse to flex at the pole so no tie downs are required. So basically your horse will be down over his work ! When you pull on an individual rein only a small portion of the bit, known as the side bar contacts a very isolated area of the bottom jaw only which forces your horse to yield from this very precise pressure . Your horse cannot brace against the side bars. Other bits allow the horse to brace against the rings or shanks on the bit which gives absolutely no firm command.

The reason the Pee wee is so comfortable is because
1)
at last a bit has been shaped to actually fit a horses mouth rather than just put a bit in the horses mouth and hope it works and the horse likes it when usually they only tolerate it.

2)The Pee Wee has a thin curved mullen mouthed bar which is very light weight and leaves plenty of room for a large tongue and low palate which is very common.

3)The mouth bar will not pinch the lips, tongue and sides of the mouth or create a nutcracker effect which is very unsettling especially for a young horse.

4) Due to the above advantages the Pee Wee allows your horse to relax and so it can concentrate on the job at hand so this is why the Pee Wee is so effective from breaking in young horses to performing at the highest level

Q. For what reasons does a horse want to fight a bit ?

A. The bit is too bulky and heavy in the horses mouth.
The Pee Wee is thin and lightweight !
The bit has too many moving parts inside and outside of the mouth so the horse is receiving too many confusing signals.
The Pee Wee has no moving parts so all signals are direct and precise !
Moving parts in the mouth often pinch the sensitive parts of the mouth causing pain.
The Pee Wee cannot pinch anywhere inside or outside the mouth
The bit may be applying too much pressure to the corners of the mouth causing major discomfort.
The Pee Wee should only be contacting the corners of the mouth without applying pressure
Lack of basic riding skills. The rider is too heavy handed and is unaware of correct pressure and release
you only need to ride with light hands when using a Pee Wee

If your horse wants to fight the Pee Wee it will be because

The cheek straps on the bridle are too short and you have wrinkles in the corners of the mouth so the mouth bar is applying pressure
You need to give your horse a few hours to get used having something new in its mouth
Your horse is strong willed and is trying to beat you which is very common but will eventually settle down when he knows he can't
Your horse has previous serious training issues that need addressing
You have failed to set the Pee Wee up correctly
you are riding too heavy handed and keeping unnecessary constant contact on the reins. If your horse has been broken in correctly you only need light hands when using a Pee Wee to achieve correct response from your horse

There are enough good reasons as to why you should try the Pee Wee bit !!
